The extension of this specialization has met the needs of professional development in each specific field in the field of construction for students, helping learners choose the appropriate field for them. At Vinh University in general, the Faculty of Construction in particular, the form of training is also multiple, suitable for many kinds of students including training under the formal system, second degree, inter-college program and in-service training. The duration of training in the Faculty of Construction is also in line with the general trend that it will reduce the training time from 5 years to 4.5 years and maybe more so students soon graduated and soon get access to employment opportunities. In addition to the advantages of credit-based training, the department can arrange study plans for students with good academic performance so they can complete their course in four years or even 3.5 years. For students who study in second degree of construction economics or in-service training, the department will arrange a flexible schedule on weekends so students can attend class at their free time. Second degree students may graduate within 18 months or sooner.

        

  In addition to the advantages of studying at the Faculty of Construction, the students also benefit from the project of reforming the training program towards the standard output approach (CDIO). This is a project that has been implemented in many prestigious universities in the world as well as in Vietnam. The goal of the project is to change and adjust curricula to match the requirements of the world of work. This means that the new curricula will be more practical, highly applied to meet the needs of employers. Currently, the CDIO project at Vinh University is being implemented widely in various faculties and institutes for many various subjects. According to the guideline, the Faculty of Construction is implementing the CDIO project for the subjects taught by the faculty to make these modules practical and highly applicable, thus helping students after graduation quickly to meet the requirements of skills and expertise that employers require.

          This year the opening of the construction economics and the second degree in construction economics and other disciplines has opened up many choices for learners. In our country it can be said that the field of construction and architecture occupies a large number of labour force. According to some statistics, more than 90% of post-graduated construction students find the right job. As a speciality in the field of construction, construction economics has proven its position. Construction economics engineers can work in a variety of environments from agencies, departments to organizations. Specifically, they can work in the Department of Construction, Transportation, Planning and Investment...; in provincial and district project management boards; construction and real estate companies; and construction consultancy. In addition, construction economics may also be employed in institutions operating in the fields of auditing, finance and banking; and in training institutions, scientific research.
